I'm on my way home from meeting up with Kevin from Royal Harvest to pick up the plants.
He said the aroma is out of this world and it smells like a garden of blueberries.
We met in the parking lot of a Canco gas station, shot the shit for a few, discussed the anxiety people used to feel as legacy growers and transporting weed. A feeling of relief was upon us.
I’m looking forward to growing and our collab project as I turn these sweet blueberries into hash to infuse Royal Harvest flowers. The bridge between the Koots and Vancouver Island bringing peace and prosperity.
On my way to, I was speaking of a bigger vision of the peace project. My idea is that the BC legacy growers donate to a non-profit called the peace project. It would fund projects such as an art collaboration between the Indigenous Nations like a beaded bridge or to a music video promoting peace. Just as I nailed the concept a hawk came flying in above me confirming I am on the right path.
I thought of my conversation with Hilary Black yesterday and her work with the compassion club and that she would have ideas to contribute.
The Kootenays has been the epicentre for peace. In fact, cannabis cultivation was a seed planted by peace makers who escaped the Vietnam War and sought the land and back to the land values. It helped people be free and sovereign from the systems of war and oppression. It helped them heal from the horrors they faced.
Pray for peace and prepare for war.
It’s 2024, and we as a global community feel the heavy burden of crimes against humanity, the planet, as bombs and missiles strike the Middle East, Russia and the Ukraine.
After a series of wars from 1914-1973 the fabric of society changed with the introduction of LSD and psychadelics. In my mind, it was a direct result for a need for humans to sense something greater than ourselves, a connection to the natural world around us and the oneness of all living things.
It was evening when we pulled into Wholeland Farm. The mountain peaks cut with the tail end of the blue night light. Jimi was there with his old Ford and the flood light helped us unpack the plants in the dark.
Lows tonight to 7• it’s the first warm weekend since Mothers Day weekend. Perfect time to plant.
I feel deep gratitude for this day and to Kevin from Royal Harvest for helping me with genetics. It’s more than that though, I t’s about his kindness. It feels like the Creator is bringing me the spirit of reprocosity after a long time of me giving to my community. It’s a lift, wind in the sails.
The spirit of kindness and compassion blows in as I tend to the soil, and prepare for peace.
